Our Infrastructure

Akaash Impex has two locations - a 15000 sq.ft. factory in the heart of Mumbai and another 20000 sq.ft. newly constructed factory on the outskirts of Mumbai. All processes from the fabric checking stage to the packing stage are completed in-house.

We have strategic partnerships with fabric weaving, dyeing and printing mills which ensures that highest quality standards are met for production.

We currently employ around 150 workers across the below mentioned departments:

• Sampling & Pattern Making
• Fabric Checking
• Fabric Cutting
• Hand Embellishment
• Machine Embroidery
• Stitching
• Quality Control
• Packing & Finishing

Our pattern masters use a CAD software to make patterns thus improving efficiency and accuracy. Our Sharps & Metal Policy is ensured with the use of a Conveyor based Needle Detector Machine. At our location outside Mumbai we have installed a fully computerised embroidery machine which allows us to use upto 12 different thread colours at one time.

To keep abreast of the latest technologies we have developed and built our own ERP solution tailor made to our needs.

The factory is in the heart of Mumbai in an area called Kurla , 5 km from the international airport. The complex is a big compound with lots of trees and a pleasant atmosphere for the staff to take their breaks especially since Mumbai is otherwise very dense with little space.

We have a secondary factory on the outskirts of Mumbai where we have currently place our computerised embroidery machines.
